Can I purchase a whole beef, lamb, hoggett or goat?

Yes you can. See our website for information on placing an order. Once you place an order, a Cut Sheet will be emailed to you, where you can customise your order with cuts, size of packs etc . The weight you see is the finished final packaged weight of our product - not the hook weight before the ageing process. All cuts are tray packed or freezer bagged and delivered chilled. Cryopacking at an additional 50c/kg.

Our packaging

How is my order delivered and how does it stay cool?

Your order is delivered frozen, all our products are now Vac Packed (cryovaced) with few expectations like some offal, bones and Sausages. Your order is packed into a cardboard box and is delivered to you in a refrigerated van. Keeping your goods well frozen through the entire journey.

How are my products packaged?

Our products are now all Cryovaced with a few exceptions like some offal, bones and Sausages. The Cryovac packaging allows for the best quality for 12 months in your freezer. Bagging and tray packing only allows for up to 6 months in the freezer before the product is impacted by frosting or freezer burn.

What is the best way to store my Organic & Biodynamics Meats?

The best way to store your organic and biodynamic meats is to put them straight into your freezer until you need them. Being cryovaced it certainly prolongs the best before use date. Recommended defrost method is to put your organic and biodynamic meats into the fridge overnight.

Our Products

Is your produce grass fed from start to finish ?

Yes, it is totally grass fed. Coming from Certified Organic Farms, you can be assured that animals are grass fed and also not fed anything else , no chemicals are sprayed on the grass and field they eat. Our farmers are audited each year before their certification gets renewed. Something else to add which I believe is important, the paddocks from where the cattle feed from is completely chemical free, no sprays, no roundup can be used, so the grass that the animals eat is also pure , clean and certified feed.

What is the difference between Organic and Certified Organic?

Being Certified organic our growers are credited with a governing body that overlooks all the elements of operation and this is audited every year. If a growers does not meet the strict standards they do not get their certification renewed and may be a period of time before they can qualify to get it back again. Many farmers are becoming more organic , but each individual's definition of organic might differ, if you want to be certain , you go Certified or get to know the farmer you get your produce from.

What is the difference between the regular and premium mince?

The Fat content between regular and premium are similar as our butcher has a standard ratio 10-15% - but the regular mince is packed in plastic freezer bags in 1kg packs and may be from a cow so a bit older animal than the premium mince - this means lots of flavour but can be a bit tougher (which normally makes no difference as its minced).

Is the product fresh or frozen?

Our standard repackaged products are all sold frozen, however our bulk side of beef or custom order sheep and goat can be arranged to be delivered to you chilled as it is made to your order and your cut list specification.
